Monthly Art Exhibits @ Caldwell Public Library
Exhibits are displayed in the Gene and Kathryn Collerd Local History Resource Room
and in the display case by the public technology area.
For the month of March, Caldwell Public Library will display student
artwork from James Caldwell High School. The Art Show features
paintings, graphic art, pen & ink as well as ceramics works.
On March 20 at 6:30pm, the Library will host a public art reception with

Irish Music Concert
Saturday March 15th from 10:30am-11:30am
Come enjoy traditional Irish songs with Clancy Brothers’ favorites in a free concert performed by talented local musicians,
including Patrick Collins on mandolin, guitar, and harmonica; Paul Black on guitar and bodhran; John Mahon on bass;
and Russ Kelner on fiddle. Refreshments provided and registration required .
The History of Newark Jazz Talk
Wednesday March 26, from 6:30-7:30pm
Former Star-Ledger editor Barbara J. Kukla will present a talk on her new book,
America’s Music: Jazz in Newark .She will trace Newark’s rich jazz history from the 1920s on,
focusing on the lives and careers of jazz immortals Sarah Vaughan, James Moody, Wayne Shorter
and Woody Shaw as well as the singers and musicians who made Newark a jazz epicenter through the years.
Copies of the book will be for sale. Refreshments provided and registration required.
