“The Caldwell Public Library’s mission is to provide our diverse community with a wide array of literary, cultural, historical, educational and social resources through personal service and innovative programs utilizing a range of learning technologies in a welcoming environment.” An initiative of the Caldwell Public Library Board of Trustees, the Caldwell Public Library Foundation was founded as a support organization for the betterment of the Caldwell Public Library (CPL). In May of 2008 the Caldwell Public Library Foundation received 501(c)3 status with the immediate goals of:
- Raising funds for the exclusive benefit of the Caldwell Public Library
- Supporting the literacy priorities of the entire community
- Building social capital among our residents through reading, literacy, and presenting and sharing ideas of concern to the community
Obtain three National Endowment of the Arts Big Read grants Purchase 10 computers for public use Fund children’s special events and summer reading programs Purchase a scanner to enable photo reprints from the Collerd Collection and Upgrade the library website
The Foundation meets on the second Tuesday of the month at Caldwell Public Library. New members are always welcome, and help is needed on many projects.
