Thank you for embracing, in a HUGE way, our summer reading program. And, fear not, if you haven't yet completed your summer reading, c'mon over! Starting on Monday, August 30th, you can sign up for Fall 2010 Children's Programming online, in person or by calling us at 973.226.1636.
And, since even though our summer reading program is over we STILL want to "Make a Difference" please consider sharing your beanie babies with us since we have twelve boxes already packed, but can certainly send more to Operation Gratitude, a nonprofit organization that supports soldiers by sending packages and letters, and will distribute them to soldiers in the field. Boxes of food and toiletries have been shared with the Caldwell Food Pantry, and, in celebration of September as "National Library Card Sign Up Month" along with Patriot Day on September 11th, "Food for Fines" will be in effect from Saturday, September 11 through Saturday, September 18, 2010.
THANK YOU - and please, keep a watch on our Library Blog as well! (Click HERE!)

10/15/2010"Feel Good Fridays" presents Author Linda A. Cronin
10:00 a.m. Caldwell LIVE and Caldwell Public Library present a reading and discussion by Linda A. Cronin, author of Dream Bones. Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at an early age, Cronin first turned to reading and writing as a way to transcend physical limitations. She will read from her book and discuss growing up and living with a chronic, disabling disease and its effect on her writing. In Linda A. Cronin's Dream Bones, bones are betrayers, wobbling and collapsing when they should stand tall and strong: the body, therefore, must search elsewhere for strength, stability, something firm to rely on. These dramatic poems enact that search with grace and power.
