Local History Collection

The Caldwell Public Library Local History Collection’s purpose is to:

  1. Develop a list of community resources, so as to share information.
  2. Collect materials relevant to the history of the Caldwells and the “Horseneck” area of Essex County to be used for research, education, and exhibition.
  3. Actively solicit relevant contributions to the local history room.
  4. Organize, preserve, and maintain materials for maximum accessibility.

Materials in the local history collection, including microfilms are available by appointment.
