READING PRACTICE!

Register your child for one of our programs aimed at helping your emergent and new reader gain confidence and discover how much fun reading can truly be.  Our Dog Tales and Reading Buddies programs are intended to encourage children to practice reading in a fun, welcoming environment here at the Library.

Dog Tales:  Read to a Dog Program:  Wednesday September 25 and October 23rd, 4:00pm-5:30pm.  Children learning to read practice reading to a therapy dog.  Call or visit the library to register for a time slot. Registration required.  Registration for each program will open the 1st of the corresponding month.

Reading Buddies is a library program that pairs a child learning to read with a teen library volunteer.  If you interested and to learn more about the program, please fill out this brief interest form HERE
Once your child is paired with a reading buddy, you will work with the teen volunteer to create a schedule that works best for you, your child, and your child's reading buddy.
Please note that participation is dependent on the number of teen volunteers available for the program.
