About the Caldwell Public Library Board of Trustees

The Caldwell Public Library Board of Trustees is the governing body that directs and oversees the operation of the Caldwell Public Library. Under NJ Library Law, all public libraries are operated independently from the municipal government (although the Board’s members are appointed by the mayor for 5-year terms).
Board meetings are held monthly and are open to the public. The Board usually does not meet in July and August. Minutes of the meetings and agendas that are not linked below are available at the Library upon request.

2026 Board of Trustees Meeting Dates
Meetings of the Caldwell Public Library Board of Trustees are held on the third Wednesday of each month and will begin at 7:30 p.m. Meetings will be held in person at the Caldwell Public Library, however, as we anticipate moving locations in early 2025, please email rrockman@caldwellpl.org to confirm location.
